For learning German, there are several many different categories of dictionaries which may be of great help. Based on the definition language, dictionaries can be categorized into such as German in German, German in English or German in *Any Other Language*. Since my first language is Chinese, my recomandation would come with extra information in Chinese.

Anki is a set of applications which utilize spaced repetition and flashcard (learning card) to make remembering things better. The Anki application set includes Anki (for Windows, macOS and Linux), AnkiMobile (for iOS), AnkiDriod (for Andriod) and AnkiWeb (for browsers), of which Anki and AnkiDriod are open source. Anki ecosystem also enables shared add-ons and shared decks which makes Anki easier and more powerful to use.
